I’m so excited to show you my backyard patio space for the first time in over year and a half! I don’t show this space often because my backyard is nothing to write home about. However, we are working…little by little….to create a more cozy and comfortable space to spend some time outside.
I decided I wanted to create a space where my kids and I can hang out and enjoy the outdoors when the weather is nice. We have a fairly large patio area but really there’s nothing to “do” out here. I was excited to find this gorgeous {hanging swing} on Walmart’s website. I had researched getting one previously, but was always turned off by the cost, especially for the larger, more substantial swings like this one! This swing, however, is really high quality, deep enough for someone to take a nap on it and wide enough that several people can enjoy it together!

I love the color of the wicker on this {swing} as well as the thick cushions that came with it! My husband was going to install it himself since he’s pretty handy with this sort of thing, but we opted to have it done professionally because we didn’t want there to be any question that it was safe to sit on.
For the patio rugs, I used the {Quail Hollow rug} from the Mytexashouse by Orian indoor/outdoor rug collection. This one was perfect for the space with the small delicate pattern. The gray and ivory colorway perfectly compliments this gorgeous swing! This is the 7×10″ size and is also available on Walmart.com!

I found these adorable {white planter pots} with dotted accents on Walmart.com! The are 15″ tall and are the perfect size for my Fall mums. They look perfect next to my swing and add a whimsical touch to my patio.

I also got these gray {wood planter boxes} and {faux topiaries} from Walmart. The add such a beautiful touch of elegance to my drab patio! Walmart has such a huge selection of gorgeous and quality outdoor and patio furniture and decor! Check it out on their website (a majority of their patio products are only available online).

Our next step in our backyard makeover will be to add some much needed plant life. We had held off on installing any trees or plants because we have been considered getting a pool which would tear up our whole backyard. So we are either going to bite the bullet and go for the pool in the next year or just decide to do a budget friendly option to add some plants to the backyard to hold us over.
If you’re wanting to update your patio or outdoor space, you should definitely check out Walmart for some major backyard inspiration and for their large selection of furniture and decor! Thanks for stopping by!
I love how cozy and inviting this is Erin! All of the grey wood tones go so beautifully together, and I’m so tempted to add faux planters to our patio now. Thanks for the inspiration!
Thank you Martina! So sweet of you!
