A little about myself…I’ve been married for 18 years to my high school sweetheart. We have 3 kids, ages 14, 11, and 7. I worked at as a 4th grade teacher prior to having kids and have been a stay at home mom ever since. I developed a love of interior design after building 3 different houses in the span of 4 years! Crazy, I know! I loved every aspect of the design process, but my favorite part was choosing the design elements for the house such as the flooring, lighting, tile, and colors! I’m also passionate about decorating on a budget and hope to share some of my tips and ideas with you! You definitely don’t have to break the budget to have a stylish home that you love!!
I never dreamed that people would be interested in seeing pictures of my home or following me for my design ideas! But I’m excited to start this new blogging journey as another way to connect with all the amazing people I’ve met through my Instagram page @mytexashouse. I also love teaming with companies to show you the latest trends in home decor and design.
