New Entryway Christmas Decor

Even though we just moved in, I decided to decorate our entryway for Christmas! I just couldn’t help it! Ever since I first saw this house, I pictured a large Christmas tree in the curved area of the staircase and knew the banister would look gorgeous with twinkling garland all the way up the stairs!

I found this stunning 9 foot Christmas tree at The Home Depot and it worked perfectly in this space! The Home Decorators Collection Elegant grand fir has 3000 warm microdot lights, which makes it just absolutely glow with warm light in my entryway! It looks even more stunning in person all lit up.

The tree is extremely easy to set up with an auto connecting function for each pre-lit section. It requires very little, if any, fluffing, which was a huge plus. This is my only non-flocked faux Christmas tree, so not having to deal with the messy flocking was also a big bonus! Plus I found the limbs really easy for hanging the Christmas ornaments. The tree comes in 3 different sizes, 7 foot slim, 7.5” foot, and the 9 foot (the size we have). 

I decided to keep the decorations on the tree simple this year for two reasons: 1) We just moved and I wasn’t up for a huge time consuming decorating project 2) The tree was so beautiful on its own, it really doesn’t need a ton of decorations!

I used the gorgeous shatterproof ornament set I found at The Home Depot to decorate the tree. And then I added some simple beaded garland I had from last year. A star on the top completed the look!

For the garland on the stairs, I used the pre-lit garland I got from The Home Depot last year (similar here, here, and here). I attached the garland to the banister using zip ties. I then added the same beaded garland and laced it along the garland going up the stairs. The tree and garland look even more dazzling at night!

Lastly, I found this large gorgeous lantern set to place at the foot of the Christmas tree. These lanterns are perfect for displaying Christmas decor this time of year, but I plan to use them on my front porch after the holidays are over.
