Hey guys! You know from my posts and stories that I keep a pretty neat and tidy house! Every part of our house that a guest could see is usually pretty clean. However, I have a dark secret I’ve been keeping….I’m a beauty product and makeup hoarder! My makeup drawer and really every drawer and cabinet in my bathroom is a hot mess!
But one awesome part of my job is that I get to work with amazing companies like, eBay, on projects like this makeup drawer and bathroom organization post and it motivates me to tackle the messiest and most challenging areas of my home (did you see my Big Closet Makeover with eBay?). So keep scrolling to see how I turned this horrendously messy makeup drawer (don’t judge)….
Into this…. an organized and functional makeup drawer using products I found on eBay.com!

Steps to Organizing A messy bathroom

- Get a box and take everything out of your drawers and cabinets. You need to start with a clean slate.
- Give your drawers a good wipe down. I even had to pull out the touch up paint to address the stains in my drawers.
- Once all the drawers and cabinets are clean, use a drawer liner to protect the bottom of the drawers and cabinets. It also makes everything look pretty and cohesive. I found these pretty {pink and white scented drawer liners} on eBay.com. Oh my goodness, they smell so good! I liked these particular liners because I find that contact paper can be hard to work with in small spaces. These drawer liners don’t have any adhesive so they are so easy to install and remove!
- Purchase drawer organizers, trays, tiered pull-out drawers, etc. to help organize all your beauty products (see below for pictures of all the organizers I got for my bathroom).
- Now the fun part: start organizing! I only put back the items in my drawers and cabinets that I currently use or had any intention of using in the near future. I donated or trashed the rest.

I love how this cabinet space turned out. These {pull out drawer organizers} were the perfect fit and hold so many hair and facial products. They were the perfect size to fit underneath my sink (I’ve tried others that were too large). I also had enough room to add a plastic bin for more beauty product storage.

As you saw above, I’ve come a long way from the before picture! It was so bad… but it actually only took me one day to go from that to this clean and organized drawer. I used several different styles of drawer organizers for my makeup/hair product drawers. I found that trays with small compartments work the best when organizing all my makeup. This way I’m able to have a place for every item and it will hopefully keep me organized as I go on!

I found such a wide variety of storage containers on eBay. It was so easy to search for the exact items I was looking for with eBay’s search function and then be able to find the best price on the product I wanted. Everything I purchased was through the “buy it now” option and most products arrived within just 2 days! You can also search eBay’s daily deal page which features their current promotions on home goods for deals for other organizational products and home goods. Ebay has definitely been a big help in getting my home organized while staying under budget!
